Rock Climbing II
As a part of outdoor activities for the children, we went Rock Climbing at Nagarjun, about an hour drive from the home. Rock climbing is popular among the children. This is our second trip to Nagarjun Hill.
It was a great day. All the kids were excited and couldn't wait for their turn to put on the harness and climb up.

Happy New Year 2065. We had our first Nepali New Year (2065) together with the children. We had a big lunch together with few of our visiting friends.
New Academic Year. New school session started from 21st April. Children were very excited to go back to school after long holidays, especially because they are going back to new grades.
We are very proud of our children for how much they have excelled in their studies since they have arrived. We have been getting great feedbacks from the children's class teachers. Now, two of them are in grade 4, two in grade 1, four in K.G. and two goes to Nursery.
This month, we have very happy to inform you that one of our children has moved back to his family. He is now home sponsored. This month, we have also welcomed a new girl Bindu to our family. She has already started to go to school with her brothers and sisters. She is already doing well at school. She is little quiet but never fails to simle back at you whenever you call her name.
We have moved to new location at Chandole in a rented house. The house is not in very good shape at the moment. But with a little maintenance work and paint job we are sure it'll be a beautiful place for the childrent to call it a home. We have begun the maintenance work and will be doing the paintings soon.
We now have, 4 rooms, 1 hall, 1 ktichen and two toilets with bathroom on ground floor. We have setup rooms for girls and boys on the ground floor. Our carer Shanti's room is also setup on the groundfloor.
5 additional rooms on 1st floor with big wide balcony. One of the rooms on the first floor is setup for volunteers. Another one is used by another live in carer, Bijay. We are planning on using one room on the first floor as children's classroom. Other rooms are used as store.
We have two spaces in the front and the side of the house. Front side space, we have just finished planting carpet grass and on the side we have left a small room for vegetable garden of which some of the older children will be in charge. We have left the side space for the children playground.
Children are learning to care about the environment and surroundings at our new house. They are always keen on helping out to improving the garden.
Volunteer

We have welcomed our first volunteer, Ms. Sachiko Kojima. She is giving English lessons to the children in the mornings and helping our staffs on day to day activities at the home.
As I mentioned before, we just moved to different location and have lot of work to do at the new house. So, we are very greatful for having her.
