We all love rock climbing very much. Children just don't seeem to have done enough rockclimbing. We all went to Nagarjun for our third rock climbing.

Zoo

Elsa, Jason and Donna took us to the Zoo. Children got to go on an elephant ride. It was thehighlight of the day at the zoo.

Balaju Park

Balaju park is located about 40 minutes drive from Sonrisa. It has beautiful garden and fish ponds. We went to Balaju with Anna, Francesca and Donna. It was a lof of fun. We sang and danced. Anna and Francesca danced tot he children's songs.

Bhaktapur

We went to the ancient city of Bhaktapur with Debbie and Donna. Some of the children found it to be very long way to Bhaktapur but they were very happy once we got there. We went to see pottery. Children had their sketch pads with them. They did drawings for the ancient city when we were there.

Happy Birthday

Our twins Ramesh and Dinesh are now five. It was a great party. There were cakes, baloons and performance by Francesca.

Happy Holi

Happy Holi to all of our friends. We celebrated holi with the rest of Nepal with water and color. It was a very colorful day.

New Year's Picnic

We went to a picnic on our New Year's day to Bajra Barahi with Merina, Becky, Steve, Kate and Bryan.

School and Holidays

Children had their final exams. The all did very well and are all promoted to upper grades

They had a month long after exam holidays before the new session begin. Children went to visit their family and relatives for 10 days for the first time since they came to us. So, they were very happy to be able go. Some of the kids stayed behind with us. Those who stayed behind went to dance classes. Other joined them when they got back from their visit.

We all went to see a Nepali movie. Again, this was our first time to Nepali movies together. Kids, they have always wanted to see one and have been asking us to take them to Nepali movies. They enjoyed it very much.

Some of the older children took Mrs. Merina Lakhe's arts and crafts classes for a week at Sonrisa. So far, they have crafted beautiful houses, pen/pencil holdrer and roses.

School just started. And the children are really happy being back at school, especially the ones who got to grade one and are now permitted to play on the ground during recess.

We got new study tables for children, shoe racks, office rack and kitchen rack. We got new curtains, bed covers, blanket covers and floor carpets for the boys room. Elsa got us basketball ring, which children enjoy very much. We now have a pet bunny, children named it snow white. We have built a home for it.

Jwala, Saraswoti, Kala, Jyoti, Saraswoti and Jaya got thier dental checkups at Patan Dental Clinic.
