Sonrisa Orphange Nepal Newsletter

We had one party celebrating three Birthdays at Sonrisa on Novermber 12th. three birthday parties. For Sandip is now 9 and Kala is also 9. Elisabeth, our volunteer, who is staying with us, her birthday was also on Novermber 12th. So, we celebrated for all three of them witn one Big cake, wonderful dinner and lots of singing and dancing.

We went for a picnic with Jessica, Nick and Elisabeth to Nagarkot on Saturday, November 7th. Nagarokot is located a couple of hours drive from Kathmandu with incredible view of the himlayas sorrounding the valley. We had beautiful day, clear sky with an awesome view.

Volunteers

We would like to thank our volunteers Jessica(USA), Nick(USA) and Elisabeth (Canada)

Children learned quite a lot of new games from Jessica and Nick, at least one everyday. Also, the winners got exciting prizes. Jessica and Nick planned wonderful Haloween games for the children. Thank You, Jessica and Nick for doing such a great job helping us out with every thing from taking care of the children to the household chores.

We would like to thank everyone who helped organize various fund raising events while Bishnu was in UK

4th Sep: Quiz night organized by Helen and John family at their house in Ruthin. It was very interesting, the questions were made by John to be answered if you can’t answer you must drop a pence. As many as participants can’t answer that is GOOD, made 262 pound sterling. MO MO nepali common snack was made in the event. Every one liked it.

18th Sep: BBQ in Gellifor in north Wales organized by Kate, Bryn and Bishnu went very well, it is end of the summer season in Wales you might not expect very good weather but it was beautiful evening, just it was meant to be for that event. Everyone friend’s of friend showed up for supporting the event. Some of the friends had traveled from long way got crowded very encouraging. We have made 700 pound sterling. Thank you so much to every one who participated.

It was another beautiful evening 21st of Sep with Iwan’s round table in Denbigh it was really nice meet with rest of the round table members. Giving talk about Nepal and Sonrisa orphanage. The board decided right a way to donate 500 pound sterling , it was awesome thank you so much.

26th August Bingo night organized by Carol, Mary and Janny in white lion Hotel Wonderful night, everyone excitingly attended. There was live music too. We raised 321 pound sterling with Bingo and live music.

It was very nice an opportunity for me to go to Dilys's school to talk to the children, also San’s school too and YSGOL CYLCH Y GARN LLANRHUDDLAN, CAERGYBI YNYS MON school in ANGLESEY.
