Personal development

Personal development, or to pinpoint the progress we have made so far, is quite difficult to assess. But we definitely notice improvements in the children behavior with regards to respecting the elders, their moral behavior, love and care among each other (though sometimes they quarrel!), obedience and following the regular schedule. We are very hopeful that they will be brought up as good and responsible human beings.

However, our intuition tells us that we can achieve much more, but as for the moment we are not in the position to hire additional staff, we would welcome committed volunteers – preferably having expertise in child development – to help us in this regard.

Psychological support

This is also a tricky part to deal with. As a matter of fact, these children have faced very hard times at such a tender age that despair, pessimism, insecurity and timidity have made imprints in their mind, affecting their behavior. None among us are experts in this field but we have tried our best in our own way. So far so good. Unlike their earlier days, in the orphanage they are playful and jovial.

Nevertheless, this issue is very delicate and sensitive. This is why we would like to have volunteers with expertise in child psychology in order to help us guiding and counseling the children in a proper way.
